Opportunity description
The Regional Energy Strategy (RES) is a nationwide task arising from the Climate Agreement. For this purpose, the Netherlands has been divided into thirty ‘RES regions’ in which municipalities, the province, water boards, grid operators, businesses, civil society organizations and residents work together on a sustainable energy supply. In North Holland, the decentralized authorities (44 municipalities, 3 water boards and the province) work together with various parties on the implementation of the RES. North Holland has 2 RES regions: North Holland North and North Holland South. Various RES partners have indicated that the need for support in implementing the RES is changing. The activities are shifting from policy development to implementation, and there appears to be a growing need for capacity support within the (municipal) organization. This concerns a need for specific expertise, project management, stakeholder management or process facilitation.
