The Contracting Authority is already a self-insurer for the WGA and is insured. With effect from 1-1-2027, the Contracting Authority wishes to take out a new WGA self-insurer insurance policy in order to cover all attributable costs of WGA self-insurance. In addition to the basic coverage, the run-off risk must also be covered. The Contracting Authority is a self-insurer for the Sickness Benefits Act and also intends to remain so throughout the entire term of the new WGA insurance policy. See procurement guidelines.
