AI 2026-0165 - Life-extending maintenance of traffic signal controllers If a market participant wishes to take legal action against this notice of the municipality's voluntary transparency award decision, the tenderer must have initiated summary proceedings before the District Court in Amsterdam within twenty calendar days after the date of dispatch of the notice, by service of a summons. A copy of the summons must be sent to inkoopfysiek@amsterdam.nl as soon as possible. If summary proceedings have not been initiated within twenty calendar days after the date of dispatch of the notice, the municipality may proceed to conclude the contract. The contract consists of carrying out life-extending maintenance on existing ViaMobility traffic signal controllers. Given that these are ViaMobility traffic signal controllers and components are not interchangeable, ViaMobility is the only supplier that can carry out this life-extending maintenance. Suppliers of traffic signal controllers also perform maintenance (preventive and corrective) and modifications only on their own traffic signal controllers, which means that ViaMobility is the only party that, through the life-extending maintenance, can carry out preventive and corrective maintenance and modifications to the traffic signal controllers concerned. The Municipality of Amsterdam therefore cannot procure the life-extending maintenance, preventive and corrective maintenance, and modifications elsewhere. The newly supplied traffic signal controllers, including maintenance and modifications, will be procured through another European open tender procedure that has yet to be published.
