Netherlands – Refuse disposal and treatment – Voluntary transparency regarding the transport and processing of pressure vessels originating from various Midwaste members

Opportunity description

The contract concerns fully relieving Midwaste and its members of all responsibilities for the nitrous oxide cylinder waste stream, consisting of: transporting nitrous oxide cylinders on demand and/or according to schedule from the members’ designated locations to the processing facility of the relevant contractor; processing the collected nitrous oxide cylinders, including the controlled decomposition of the nitrous oxide and, where applicable, rendering unusable and processing the associated packaging/containers, in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations; providing, placing, collecting, exchanging and maintaining mesh containers (cages/mesh containers) at the members’ locations, in quantities matching the supply; maintaining complete chain-of-custody and waste-stream records and providing Midwaste with periodic reports and performance declarations for each removal. Both agreements enter into force on 1 October 2026 and are concluded for a period of two (2) years, therefore ending on 31 October 2028. The agreements may be extended once, under unchanged conditions, unilaterally by Midwaste for a period of two (2) years. Midwaste will indicate no later than three (3) months before the end date whether it wishes to exercise this extension option. Following this first extension, the agreements may subsequently be extended once for a period of two (2) years, by mutual (bilateral) agreement of both parties. The intended commencement date stated above is subject to the expiry of the standstill period stated below without any objection having been received. Procedure: neg-wo-call.
