On behalf of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, NWO invites public and private parties that offer Interventions in education, such as school boards, municipalities and researchers, to submit a promising Intervention to improve proficiency in basic skills. Through a Competition, with the assistance of an expert Jury and predetermined Award Criteria, NWO selects a number of Interventions that will be implemented in the 2027-2028 and 2028-2029 school years.
