See guideline. Safety personnel supervise the safe performance of work along or on the railway. This includes, among others: Worksite Protection Leader (LWB): responsible for organizing and coordinating safety and worksite protection during work. Local Safety Leader (LLV): responsible for local safety measures and ensuring that work is performed safely at the worksite. Safety Personnel (VHP): supervise employee safety during work and monitor compliance with safety regulations. Tunnel Fire Safety Watch: Supervisor deployed during work in tunnels or confined spaces, with a focus on fire prevention and evacuation procedures. In possession of the appropriate certifications. Manhole Watch: Supervisor who remains outside a confined space and monitors and safeguards the safety of the people working inside it. The contract includes the provision of qualified and certified traffic controllers to direct and regulate traffic around works or emergencies at or near public transport locations and infrastructure. The services include, among other things: regulating and directing traffic flows; ensuring the safe passage of pedestrians, cyclists and motorized traffic; safeguarding traffic safety around work and construction sites; acting in accordance with the applicable traffic and safety regulations; cooperating and coordinating with the contracting authority’s employees, contractors and other safety officers involved. The contract includes the provision of qualified points guards to safely supervise and monitor work on and around railway points and rail infrastructure. The points guard supervises the safe performance of the work and, where applicable and in accordance with the applicable procedures and authorizations, operates railway points to ensure the safe and controlled performance of the work and the safe passage of rail traffic.
