The two Contractors must, for a period of 3 (three) months, from approx. mid-March to approx. mid-June, reduce the density of non-native crayfish in surface waters at a total of 10 locations (approx. 6.5 km in length, approx. 10 ha in area) by means of deployed tunnel traps, spring traps and single-wing crayfish fyke nets, by emptying the fishing gear at such a frequency that, at the end of this period, the number of crayfish has been reduced to an average of 0.7 crayfish per m2. The catch must be processed or disposed of by the Contractor itself in as high-quality and animal-friendly a manner as possible. This includes the option to extend the Agreement a maximum of 2 (two) times by 1 (one) year, or to extend the fishing period (whether or not in combination with the extension), or to expand the surface waters in which the activities must be carried out by one or more locations (whether or not in combination with the preceding options).
