The laundry and ironing service has been deployed as a pilot in the Municipality of Montferland since 1 April 2025. This pilot ends on 1 April 2027. The municipality can deploy the laundry and ironing service as a customized provision under the Wmo 2015 for those residents who are not themselves capable of performing this household task predominantly independently. The assistance is intended for residents who are unable to carry out laundry activities themselves (or entirely by themselves) due to a (physical) disability. In addition, the laundry service is intended as a workplace for people who are distanced from the labor market. Further agreements on this will be laid down in a framework agreement with the Work & Income department of the Municipality of Montferland.
