Opportunity description

As a building plan adviser, you are the first point of contact for initiators of building initiatives and applications. You handle applications for environmental permits and preliminary requests. In addition, providing advice to the Municipal Executive is among your duties. You assess building plans against the Environmental Plan (and the zoning plans included therein), the Environment and Planning Act (and, for any long-running cases, still against the General Provisions Environmental Law Act), and the associated decrees under the Environment and Planning Act (Buildings and Living Environment Decree, Quality of the Living Environment Decree and, for example, the Environment and Planning Decree). You also provide advice and information about regulations and procedures, monitor the progress of applications, and ensure compliance with statutory deadlines and the smooth handling of construction projects. In short, you will have a varied role and play a key role in the permitting process. The candidate performs work at the office (Municipality of Ermelo location) for at least 2 days (Tuesday and Thursday) per week and is under the authority of the contracting authority.
