Opportunity description

The intention is to enter into an agreement with the current contractor KPN to continue the services relating to specific microwave links. These are the following microwave links: - Maasvlakte (Radar Station 42) to Goeree Light Platform (LEG); - Goeree Light Platform (LEG) to Europlatform (EPL). This procurement need exists in order to transmit measurement data (which contributes to various studies relating to climate change and a sustainable living environment) from, among others, the KNMI, Port of Rotterdam Authority and the Ministry of Climate Policy and Green Growth on the platforms via a microwave link to the mainland. Placing the desired services with another contractor makes little sense because there is no reasonable alternative for this unique situation. The current agreement runs until 01-09-2025. The intended agreement has a term of 5 years, whereby after the first year it may be terminated subject to 6 months' notice. See brief description.
