The national monument Raadhuis De Paauw, located at Raadhuislaan 22 in Wassenaar (the Netherlands), will be transformed into a contemporary, functional and welcoming administrative center, housing the municipal council, council secretariat, the municipal executive of the mayor and aldermen, and civil servants. The project aims to become a harmonious combination of its rich historical character with modern efficiency, comfort and sustainability. The total scope of the project is approximately 3,400 m². An integrated design team has been contracted for the Raadhuis De Paauw project, consisting of Happel Cornelisse Verhoeven, Deerns and LBP Sight. IGG bouweconomie has been appointed as the construction cost expert, and Strackee acts as the structural engineering consultant. The main design principles for the renovation and restoration of Raadhuis De Paauw include: • The development of a renewed workplace concept. • The addition of a catering function in the building. • The replacement of all outdated installations. • Improving the sustainability of the town hall. • The integration of an elevator for optimal accessibility.
