Norway – Laboratory reagents – Reference substances for forensic medicine to Oslo University Hospital.

Opportunity description

The Department of Forensic Sciences at Oslo University Hospital shall procure reference substances and internal standards that are used in legal toxicology analyses of drugs and drugs. In 2025, the department received samples from approx. 35,000 cases. Routinely samples are examined for up to 110 substances, but the department's repertoire spans a large number of substances. The repertoire is changed and adapted to the use of drugs in the community - there is, therefore, a need for flexibility in the assortment and access to a large assortment. Certified reference substances (CRM) or reference substances from manufacturers are preferably used accredited in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 17034. The aim of analysing sanctioning samples is to use reference material from two different manufacturers for preparation of control and standard for each individual substance that is analysed, there is a need for parallel agreements. Based on the price level of the existing tenderers in 2024-2025, the estimated annual value is NOK 550,000,-. The extraction of products in variable assortment makes up the largest part of the contract ́s value, approx. 85% in the last year.
