The subject of the contract is the translation from English of the libretto of the musical entitled “The Great Gatsby” (“The Great Gatsby”)”, together with the transfer of the author’s economic rights to the contracting authority. The contractor undertakes to translate the musical’s libretto into Polish while preserving the meaning, character, and artistic values of the original work. The translation should faithfully convey the content and the author’s intent and, to the extent possible, preserve the rhythm, meter, line arrangement, rhymes, cadence, and stanza structure so that it meets the requirements of stage and musical performance. The translation should be an original work—an adaptation of the original work in Polish—be free from legal defects, and not infringe the copyright or personal rights of third parties.
