Opportunity description

The subject of the contract is the provision of full-day catering services for patients of the Maria Skłodowska-Curie Provincial Specialist Hospital in Zgierz, in accordance with: 1) the Act of 25 August 2006 on Food and Nutrition Safety (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 1448, as amended), and 2) the recommendations of the Chief Sanitary Inspector and the Food and Nutrition Institute concerning food provision and nutrition standards applicable in closed collective catering establishments and the health quality of food, and 3) the procedures of the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) system or ISO 22000. The catering service will consist of preparing meals from products procured by the Contractor independently, distributing meals in disposable packaging to the doors of hospital wards, and collecting, washing, disinfecting and sterilizing distribution carts, transport containers and utensils (e.g. jugs), in accordance with the sanitary and epidemiological regulations applicable in healthcare entities. Meals will be distributed to patients’ beds with the participation of the Contracting Authority’s employees. The subject of the contract includes in particular: 1) preparing meals taking into account the diets and supplements used in feeding patients, including patient turnover and dietary changes, 2) delivering meals daily to the doors of hospital wards, exclusively with the participation of the Contractor’s own employees, 3) immediately collecting, managing or disposing of post-consumption leftovers, 4) washing, disinfecting and sterilizing transport containers; The estimated demand for meals for the term of the contract is specified in the assortment and price form constituting Annex No. 2 to the SWZ.
