Poland – Construction work for water projects – Reconstruction of small water retention structures in the Włocławek Forest District – structures No. 4, 5, 7, 8, 9

Opportunity description

3.1. The subject of the contract is construction work consisting of the “Reconstruction of small water retention structures in the Włocławek Forest District – structures No. 4, 5, 7, 8, 9”, in particular culverts and weirs. 3.2. Small water retention means measures improving the capacity to collect water in small natural and artificial reservoirs and to raise its level in riverbeds, streams, canals and ditches for subsequent replenishment of the environment. The primary purpose of implementing the construction projects is to improve the moisture content of forest soils, change the unfavorable, rapid runoff of surface water from forest areas into slowed runoff, diversify the elements of the forest ecosystem, and have a beneficial effect on biodiversity. 3.3. The contract is being implemented as part of the project “Comprehensive project for adapting forests and forestry to climate change – small water retention and prevention of water erosion in lowland areas – continuation (MRN3)”, the beneficiary of which is the State Forests National Forest Holding. The objective of the project is to strengthen the resilience of lowland forest ecosystems to threats related to climate change. The measures undertaken are aimed at preventing or minimizing the adverse effects of phenomena such as the destructive action of floodwaters, floods, inundations, droughts and fires. The direct result of implementing the entire project is expected to be the retention of 2.1 million m3 of water nationwide. The planned total cost of the project is PLN 234.7 million, including a maximum amount of eligible expenditure of PLN 170 million. The maximum amount of project funding from European funds is PLN 144.5 million. The estimated value of the entire Project should not be equated with the value of this contract. It includes the reconstruction of Structure No. 4 located on cadastral plot 194, precinct 0002 Brzezie, municipality of Brześć Kujawski. The investment tasks include the reconstruction of a reinforced concrete dock-type weir (clear width 0.7 m), including, among other things: a) Reconstruction of the reinforced concrete weir docks and the concrete reinforcements to be retained. b) Local demolition of damaged concrete reinforcements. c) Restoration of wooden sheet-pile walls at the inlet. d) Reinforcement of the channel bed and banks with stone mattresses in fencing and loose stone riprap, as well as fascine rolls and a palisade of wooden stakes. e) Sectional removal of silt from the beds of watercourse channels. It includes the reconstruction of Structure No. 5 located on cadastral plot 196, precinct 0002 Brzezie, municipality of Brześć Kujawski. The investment tasks include the reconstruction of a reinforced concrete dock-type weir (clear width 0.7 m), including, among other things: a) Reconstruction of the reinforced concrete weir docks and the concrete reinforcements to be retained. b) Local demolition of damaged concrete reinforcements. c) Restoration of wooden sheet-pile walls at the inlet. d) Reinforcement of the channel bed and banks with stone mattresses in fencing and loose stone riprap, as well as fascine rolls and a palisade of wooden stakes. e) Sectional removal of silt from the beds of watercourse channels. The investment tasks include the reconstruction of a reinforced concrete dock-type weir (clear width 0.7 m), including, among other things: a) Reconstruction of the reinforced concrete weir docks and the concrete reinforcements to be retained. b) Local demolition of damaged concrete reinforcements. c) Restoration of wooden sheet-pile walls at the inlet. d) Reinforcement of the channel bed and banks with stone mattresses in fencing and loose stone riprap, as well as fascine rolls and a palisade of wooden stakes. e) Sectional removal of silt from the beds of watercourse channels. It includes the reconstruction of Structure No. 9 located on cadastral plot 407, precinct 0010 Mikanowo, municipality of Lubanie. The investment tasks for the culvert with an added impoundment structure (diameter 1.4 m) include, among other things: a) Reconstruction of the reinforced concrete culvert docks and the concrete reinforcements to be retained. b) Local demolition of damaged concrete reinforcements. c) Cleaning of the culvert pipe. d) Restoration of wooden sheet-pile walls at the inlet. e) Reinforcement of the channel bed and banks with stone mattresses in fencing and loose stone riprap, as well as fascine rolls and a palisade of wooden stakes. f) Restoration of the road surface above the culvert. g) Sectional removal of silt from the beds of watercourse channels.
