Opportunity description

1. The contract covers carrying out an inventory of the European beaver Castor fiber and the Eurasian otter Lutra lutra in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship and preparing a report (documentation) on this inventory, in particular: 1) analysis of available source materials and archival data, including data provided by the Contracting Authority, originating from documentation of conservation plans and conservation task plans for Natura 2000 areas and other nature studies and inventories, 2) development of a methodology for conducting field surveys, 3) carrying out a field inventory during two survey seasons, 4) assessment of the distribution and abundance of the populations of both species, 5) assessment of habitat quality and conservation status, 6) identification of ecological corridors, 7) identification of threats and conflicts related to the occurrence of the species, 8) assessment of the importance of European beaver activity for water retention, including the impact of beaver dams and ponds on local water conditions, 9) preparation of spatial analyses in a GIS environment, 10) preparation of an interim report and a final report together with photographic documentation and databases. 2. The description of the subject matter of the contract is set out in Annex No. 1 to the specification. 3. The Contracting Authority anticipates the need to transfer intellectual property rights to the completed subject matter of the contract. A detailed description of the contractual terms is set out in the draft contract constituting Annex No. 2 to the specification. 4. The Contracting Authority does not specify any activities within the scope of contract performance that require the Contractor or subcontractor to employ persons under an employment relationship in the manner specified in Article 22 § 1 of the Act of 26 June 1974, the Labour Code.
