1. The subject of the contract is the performance of a service consisting of carrying out active conservation tasks in natural habitat 7120 – Reptowo peatland PLH 320056, located within a Natura 2000 area, in the Kliniska Forest District, in the Niedźwiedź Forest Range, compartment 724a, over an area of approx. 12.16 ha. Task No. 5 - removal of tree and shrub undergrowth together with biomass removal, including reducing shading of the habitat, as part of the Project “Forests for wetlands – protection of hydrogenic habitats in areas of natural value", co-financed by the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate and Environment 2021–2027. 2. Characteristics of the Reptowo peatland: raised, degraded, capable of natural stimulated regeneration. 3. The scope of the subject of the contract to be performed includes the removal of undergrowth and tree and shrub seedlings, together with the removal of biomass from the peatland area, in order to reduce shading of the habitat by removing birch seedlings and shoots and pine seedlings through: a) Cutting all young trees very low to the ground, and even within the sphagnum layer and organic substrate, in order to limit the formation of shoots, b) Carrying the cut young trees with a height of 1 m or more to compartment lines, c) Transporting the cut young trees outside the peatland area over a distance of approx. 1-2 km, to a location on forest land indicated by the Contracting Authority, d) Leaving on the dikes the portion of mature pine seedlings indicated by the Contracting Authority. 1.
