1. The subject matter of the contract is: 1) the collection, transport and management of municipal waste originating from the territory of the Municipality of Nowe Miasto nad Pilicą, 2) equipping properties with bins (containers) for collecting mixed municipal waste, 3) equipping properties with: a. bags for collecting individual fractions of selectively collected waste – applies to the rural and urban areas (excluding housing estates), b. bins for collecting individual fractions of selectively collected waste – applies to housing estates; 4) the collection, transport and management of waste accumulated at the PSZOK operated by the Municipality and the provision of waste collection equipment in the types and maximum quantities specified in the OPZ. 2. Municipal waste is understood to mean (in accordance with Article 3(1)(7) of the Act of 14 December 2012 on waste) waste generated by households and waste originating from other waste producers which, due to its nature and composition, is similar to household waste, in particular unsorted (mixed) municipal waste and selectively collected waste: 1) from households, including paper and cardboard, glass, metals, plastics, bio-waste, wood, clothing, textiles, packaging, waste electrical and electronic equipment, waste batteries and accumulators, and bulky waste, including mattresses and furniture, and 2) from sources other than households, if such waste is similar in nature and composition to household waste – whereby municipal waste does not include waste from production, agriculture, forestry, fisheries, non-drainage tanks, sewerage systems and wastewater treatment plants, including sewage sludge, end-of-life vehicles, and construction and demolition waste; unsorted (mixed) municipal waste remains unsorted (mixed) municipal waste even if it has undergone waste treatment, provided that such treatment has not significantly changed its properties. 3. Waste collection and management must be carried out in a manner ensuring the achievement of appropriate levels of recycling, preparation for reuse and recovery by other methods, and the reduction of the mass of bio-waste, in particular in accordance with the Act of 13 September 1996 on maintaining cleanliness and order in municipalities and the provisions of the Act of 14 December 2012 on waste 1.
