Opportunity description

The subject matter of the contract is the creation of choreography for the musical entitled “The Great Gatsby”, together with the transfer of the author’s economic rights to the Contracting Authority. The Contractor will be required to develop choreography for the musical corresponding to its content, as conveyed in the libretto, and to the musical expression set out in the score. The choreography for the production should be an original work, be free from legal defects, and not infringe the copyrights or personal rights of third parties. The co-choreographers will be responsible for their mutually agreed shares of personal creative contribution to the work, and the Theatre will not be liable for mutual claims between them. The subject matter of the contract is the translation from English of the libretto of the musical entitled “The Great Gatsby” (“The Great Gatsby”), together with the transfer of the author’s economic rights to the Contracting Authority. The Contractor undertakes to translate the musical’s libretto into Polish while preserving the meaning, character, and artistic values of the original work. The translation should faithfully convey the author’s content and intent and, to the extent possible, preserve the rhythm, metre, line arrangement, rhymes, cadence, and stanza structure so that it meets the requirements of stage and musical performance. The translation should be an original work—an adaptation of the original work in Polish—be free from legal defects, and not infringe the copyrights or personal rights of third parties.
