Opportunity description
The subject of the contract is the design and execution of the modernization and construction of the mechanical-biological section of the sewage treatment plant in Nowy Targ. The planned investment is to ensure an average daily flow of the sewage treatment plant at the level of 21 000 m3/d and a PE at the level of 110 264. The subject of the contract includes design, construction works, commissioning, training, testing and handover for operation, as well as the preparation of all studies and obtaining all administrative decisions necessary to complete the subject of the contract in accordance with applicable regulations. The attached Functional and Utility Program (Appendix No. 1) specifies the requirements concerning both design and execution with regard to the expansion and modernization of the existing elements of the mechanical, biological and sludge sections on the premises of the sewage treatment plant in Nowy Targ. The data and minimum requirements that are to form the basis for the implementation of the investment have been described. The performance of works related to the implementation of the subject of the contract must not cause disruptions to the operation of the sewage treatment plant. The investment site is located within the sewage treatment plant in Nowy Targ belonging to Miejski Zakład Wodociągów i Kanalizacji w Nowym Targu sp. z o.o. The investment site mainly occupies the central and eastern part of the treatment plant area. Facilities belonging to the mechanical and biological sewage treatment lines are located in this area. The modernization also concerns the facilities of the sludge section and accompanying infrastructure. The scope of the investment, i.e. design and execution, includes in particular: • Modernization of the inlet channel together with the construction of a by-pass • Modernization of the main pumping station • Modernization and expansion of the fine screen building - Replacement of the existing screens with panel-and-hook screens with 6-8mm perforations. Screens equipped with a screenings washing press and a screenings shredding system. • Modernization of grit chambers and grit separators - Modernization and renovation of the building. Installation of chain scrapers/ Renovation of the existing scrapers. Retrofitting the grit chambers with new pumps adapted to a larger quantity of grit slurry. Renovation of covers. Replacement of fittings. Addition of new grit separators. • Modernization of the existing primary settling tanks together with the expansion of the primary sludge pumping station - Replacement of scrapers in rectangular settling tanks. Renovation of walls, reprofiling of the bottom. Modernization of the primary sludge discharge. Expansion of the primary sludge pumping station and installation of a fibrous fraction separator. • Construction of a gravity thickener for primary sludge - Construction of a second gravity thickener for primary sludge based on the existing facility. • Expansion of the biological section of the sewage treatment plant - Modernization and expansion of the existing reactors. Conversion of the reactors from SBR to flow-through reactors. Separation of the dephosphatation, denitrification and nitrification chamber. Installation of slow- and medium-speed mixers. Installation of aeration grids. Installation of internal recirculation pumps. Execution of instrumentation and control systems. Introduction of a control system - alternating system. Construction of three secondary settling tanks equipped with surface and bottom scrapers, with a scum removal system and scum pumps. Excess sludge pumping station consisting of an external recirculation system (3 operating pumps + 1 standby), and a second system for conveying excess sludge to the excess sludge thickeners (3 pumps + 1 standby). Secondary settling tanks equipped with a double-edged outlet trough – trapezoidal sawtooth weir. • Construction of a floating matter pumping station - Construction of a scum tank consisting of a wet and dry chamber. The dry section equipped with two pumps conveying scum to the sludge section of the sewage treatment plant. • Modernization of the blower station together with equipping it with installations and equipment: process, power: supply and control, ventilation – Retrofitting the blower system with a new high-performance and energy-efficient unit enabling flexible and intermittent operation with the biological reactors and cooperating with the existing blower system. Renovation and replacement of compressed air pipelines. Equipping with control dampers and compensating fittings. Installation of air flow measurements and pressure measurement on the main pipelines supplying air to the reactors. Adaptation of the control system depending on the method of conducting the biological process. • Modernization of the digested sludge dewatering building - Modernization of the entire building. Replacement of sludge dewatering equipment downstream of the separated digestion chamber with decanter centrifuges. Adaptation of all facility equipment to the new devices. Conveyance of dewatered sludge through a system of conveyors directing the sludge for further processing (drying plant). • New treated sewage metering system - Equipping the new treated sewage metering system. • Modernization and expansion of the dewatered sludge drying plant - Construction of a drying plant. • Process networks - Expansion and modernization of process networks, including the water supply network, process water network, district heating network, power network, sewerage network, other process pipelines carrying media such as raw sewage, grit slurry, grease, excess sludge, primary sludge, scum pipelines, the control system at the sewage treatment plant, and all other necessary networks ensuring proper operation of the sewage treatment plant. • Enclosure and deodorization - Enclosure and deodorization and conveyance of odors to filters - Facilities to be enclosed and deodorized at the treatment plant are the septage receiving station, inlet channel, drying plant.
