Opportunity description

The subject of the contract is: Removal of trees competing with yew in the “Cisy w Czarnem” nature reserve. The “Cisy w Czarnem” reserve is located in Człuchów County, in the municipality of Rzeczenica, approximately 6.2 km northeast of the locality of Czarne. The reserve is located on State Treasury land managed by the Czarne Człuchowskie Forest District. Scope of work: 1) Cutting down trees, including medium- and large-sized trees from the first and second storeys, or individual tree limbs (up to a height of approximately 10 m), which shade the yews. Trees designated for cutting have been marked with a number and a dot using green/red paint. Trees from which only limbs are to be cut have also been marked with paint (number and an upward-pointing arrow). The table contains a list of trees together with information about their diameter. Trees marked in the above-mentioned manner must be cut down manually, using the bottom-up (traditional) method. They must be felled with due care so as not to damage the yews beside which they grow or the yew seedlings. Felled trees may be left in the reserve, preferably intact, outside the designated hiking trail and in places where they will not pose a threat to the yews. 2) Cutting the undergrowth (mainly alder buckthorn, hazel and beech) in areas where young yews grow. The total area is approximately 3.60 ha. The areas to be cut are mapped in the form of a .shp file. 3) The cut biomass (specified in point 2) must be removed from the reserve. It may be stored in locations indicated by the Czarne Człuchowskie Forest District (no more than 200 m from the reserve boundary).
