Rental of diesel multiple units (DMU) for short- and medium-distance trains” - divided into 2 lots: Lot 1 - “Lot I – Rental of Diesel Multiple Units (DMU) authorized for the operation of passenger trains on the public railway infrastructure in Romania for the Bucharest-Craiova area” Lot 2 - “Lot II – Rental of Diesel Multiple Units (DMU) authorized for the operation of passenger trains on the public railway infrastructure in Romania for the Cluj-Iași area” The sectoral procurement procedure will be completed with the conclusion of a framework supply agreement for a period of 36 months with one or more economic operators. The framework agreement may be concluded with several economic operators for each lot; the maximum number will be 5 economic operators. The conclusion of subsequent contracts is subject to the following suspensive clause: The conclusion of subsequent contracts is conditional upon obtaining approval from the Railway Reform Authority for the use, in forming the trains covered by the Public Service Contract approved by Government Decision no. 1453/2022, of the Diesel Multiple Units (DMU) that will be rented, within a maximum of 90 days from the date of signing the framework agreement. If the contracting entity does not obtain approval from the Railway Reform Authority, the Framework Agreement will terminate by operation of law, without intervention by the courts.
