Romania – Theme park construction work – URBAN REGENERATION OF THE CENTRAL AREA OF THE TOWN OF VALENII DE MUNTE, PRAHOVA COUNTY

Opportunity description

The subject of the contract is the execution of works for the investment objective: Urban Regeneration of the Central Area of the Town of Valenii de Munte, Prahova County (Bus station park, Central Park, Monastery area park, Decantor Park, Sidewalks on Nicolae Iorga Boulevard, Modernization of public lighting on Nicolae Iorga Boulevard); 1.Bus station park: Creation of a Pedestrian-Friendly Sidewalk: Integration of Green Spaces: Lighting and Safety Installation of energy-efficient LED street lighting 2.Central Park: Redevelopment and modernization of Central Park as well as the sidewalk on the western side adjacent to Nicolae Iorga Boulevard DN1A. The layout will be partially reorganized to meet the new needs for areas and functions (the playground will be enlarged, the paths reconfigured, the urban furniture replaced, and the positions of the lighting poles replaced and modified). Connections will be created with the other landmarks around the park, respectively the streets surrounding it. 3.Monastery Park: In the square adjacent to the bust of Iorga, the following is desired: removal of the deteriorated and inappropriate paths from an aesthetic and detailing perspective, construction to the south, at the boundary between the two squares, of an access ramp for persons with disabilities, and an intermediate footbridge that may be surrounded by urban furniture (benches) The pedestal of the bust of Iorga will be clad in granite. The following works are proposed for the northern square: Refurbishment of the children’s playground by replacing or repairing the play equipment, Reconsideration of the configuration of the access paths in accordance with the expansion and addition of new functions. Construction of curb access ramps to ensure accessibility for persons with disabilities to the park paths, Replacement of the paths’ prefabricated slab paving (deteriorated).,Refurbishment of the path curbs. Reconsideration of the landscaping by removing or relocating certain trees Correction of the geometry of the paths. Elimination of certain areas with chess tables and related paths by transforming them into green space. Cladding the pedestal of the wayside cross with stone similar to the fence of the Church of the Dormition of the Mother of God Removal of the public lighting poles and their replacement with poles with an LED system Replacement of urban furniture (benches), addition of waste bins as well as two drinking fountains. The northern square will have a safety enclosure made of prefabricated decorative metal elements toward the southeastern area. 4.Decantor Area Park: Creation of a Pedestrian-Friendly Sidewalk. The width of the sidewalk should be sufficient to allow the comfortable movement of pedestrians, persons with reduced mobility and cyclists Reduction of the risk of (local) flooding and promotion of groundwater-table recharge Drainage of water into green spaces Integration of Green Spaces: Planting trees, shrubs and flowers along the sidewalk. Lighting and Safety: Installation of energy-efficient LED street lighting to ensure pedestrian safety at night 5.Sidewalks on Nicolae Iorga Boulevard:1. Creation of a Pedestrian-Friendly Sidewalk: Sidewalk width Reduction of the risk of (local) flooding and promotion of groundwater-table recharge Use of durable paving materials. Drainage of water into green spaces Integration of Green Spaces: Planting trees, shrubs and flowers along the sidewalk. These can provide shade, improve air quality and contribute to aesthetics. 6.Modernization of public lighting on Nicolae Iorga Blvd.: By installing SMS-type metal poles and LED lighting fixtures with a high degree of protection and impact resistance, conditions are ensured for maintaining the system’s performance over a long period, the LEDs having an average service life of more than 50,000 hours. Reconfiguration of existing sidewalks and platforms • Replacement of the wearing surface (slab paving): repairs (flatness, slopes) with granite slabs and concrete platforms at the connections with access points to the adjacent properties • Development of squares • Landscaping: o Enlargement of green areas (islands or squares), o Preservation and pruning of existing trees o Planting of new trees, shrubs and decorative plants o Replanting of lawns • Accessibility for special needs (persons with disabilities) • b) Replacement of sidewalk paving up to the DN1A curb, in both directions • Vertical grading of the land to facilitate access for persons with disabilities • Creation of routes for blind persons • Enlargement of green-space areas and creation of an automated irrigation system • Construction of decorative pergolas • Planting of decorative trees and shrubs • Modernization of urban furniture: o Installation of waste bins with recycling compartments o Placement of prefabricated benches, unified design, in groups of 3, adapted to the diversity of users  children (35cm high),  persons with disabilities (45cm, with backrest - according to the attached standard) o pergolas equipped with photovoltaic panels allowing electronic devices to be charged and providing local lighting • Construction of ramps for persons with disabilities • Steps and handrails for persons with disabilities • In the area of the sports hall (bus station), to protect pedestrians, the circulation area is moved from near DN1 A toward the interior, creating a green area between the roadway and the sidewalk. Its design complies with the pedestrian flow (high - Bus station and commercial area). In order to build new continuous, unobstructed sidewalks, it is proposed to reconstruct both the public lighting installation and the underground electrical distribution network, independently of one another. The designed public lighting installation will have the following structure: - switching point and distribution boxes from which the public lighting installation is controlled and supplied with electricity - LES 0.4 Kv electricity supply network - A2YAbY-type cable - 3x50+25, A2YAbY -3x25+16 sq. mm ensuring the transmission of electricity from the switching point and distribution boxes to the lighting fixtures over a length of 1600 m -public lighting poles - 45 units -metal extensions (brackets) ensuring attachment to the pole and orientation of the lighting fixtures toward the roadway - 45 units - lighting fixtures with lamps - LED - 90 units Procedure: open.
