Opportunity description

The Spectroscopy Unit, belonging to the Chemistry Division of the Technology Department, is dedicated to projects aimed at developing and implementing graphene materials in various applications. The purpose of this contract is the supply, installation, and commissioning of an X-ray diffractometer in order to provide state-of-the-art equipment for the X-ray Laboratory belonging to the Spectroscopy Unit, included in the recently created Materials Laboratory (LABMAT) within the framework of the CIEMAT Strategic Plan. This acquisition will contribute to updating the Unit's instrumentation and capabilities, which currently face serious limitations due to a lack of instrument renewal, and thus address the growing demand for structural analyses of materials of a very diverse nature. Therefore, the ultimate objective would be to meet the structural characterization needs arising during the development of CIEMAT research projects, as well as to resolve problems raised by other organizations or companies through the Technology Transfer Office.
