The Plataforma Solar de Almería (hereinafter PSA) participates continuously in numerous national and international research programs and projects, the proper execution of which requires ensuring the full operability and availability of its facilities, equipment, and infrastructure. These comprise solar test plants, water distribution networks, electrical, electronic, and computer systems, internal roads, general buildings, and laboratories, which together constitute a scientific infrastructure of great complexity and scale. To ensure the proper functioning of these facilities, it is essential to carry out specialized preventive and corrective maintenance work on a permanent basis, in order to preserve the safety, reliability, and availability conditions required for conducting research activities and fulfilling the commitments undertaken by CIEMAT.
