On plot Cat. No. L1340, Bühlenweg 20 in Riedikon, the City of Uster's Civil Protection Service Group operates a training center. The total plot area comprises 28'573 m2, of which 10'400 m2 are used for the training center, 4600 m2 are rented to the dog club, and 9300 m2 are leased for agricultural purposes. 4273 m2 are residual land comprising forest and moorland. The training center consists of various training buildings and areas, as well as the associated changing rooms, training rooms, administrative rooms, and storage rooms. The two fire-training buildings were newly constructed in recent years and are state of the art. Some of the ancillary buildings are in poor condition and urgently require renovation. Due to the sublease agreement for the Zeughaus West site with a non-profit housing cooperative, the civil protection organization will have to leave this site in the foreseeable future and requires new covered parking areas for the vehicles and a place to assemble. For these two reasons, it was decided to expand the training center with a new logistics and administration center. This will allow the entire civil protection organization to be accommodated at one central location and training sessions to be held. Procedure: restricted.
