Opportunity description

Matterhorn Gotthard Verkehrs AG (MGBahn) intends to procure 10 container-carrying wagons. In an initial deployment phase, the vehicles will be used for construction-site logistics in connection with the planned construction of the Gornerli dam above Zermatt. The wagons must meet the operational and technical requirements of the Visp–Findelbach line and be capable of unrestricted operation on this route. Once the construction transport operations have been completed, it is planned to incorporate the container-carrying wagons into MGBahn's existing freight wagon fleet. The aim is to use the new vehicles to gradually renew the existing wagon fleet and take obsolete freight wagons out of service. Due to a lack of internal resources, MGBahn intends to engage an external project manager who will coordinate the procurement of the vehicles in its entirety and provide technical support.
