The RENOFGB project consists of replacing the existing generating unit with two new units. The Contracting Authority wishes to replace the existing 40 MVA machine with two new 22 MVA machines handling the same flow rate as the former unit. The new units will receive the waters of the Dranse d'Entremont accumulated in the Toules dam via the existing headrace tunnel and penstock. The turbines currently planned are horizontal-shaft, triple-jet Pelton turbines. This invitation to tender concerns the civil engineering works for the modifications in the FGB power plant related to the replacement of the existing unit with two new units, NG1 and NG2.
