With the present project, the entire road infrastructure will be renewed and expanded in accordance with current standards and requirements. This includes adapting the standard geometric cross-section with a trafficable shoulder on the mountainside, as well as straightening the road alignment. The expansion will be carried out through local rock cuts on the mountainside and widening on the valley side. In sections, the existing retaining structures on the valley side, or parts thereof, will be demolished and replaced by new load-bearing structures. The existing stream culverts will be dismantled and newly integrated into the new structures (ribbed structures). On the mountainside, rock stabilization measures in the form of untensioned anchors, shotcrete and mesh coverings are planned at several locations, as well as edge or retaining walls.
