The municipality of Glarus Nord intends to develop the Biäsche employment area so that the site and the properties located on it can be built on. The Biäsche employment area is located in the municipality of Glarus Nord, between the A3 Zurich–Chur motorway and the SBB railway tracks. Motorway exit No. 45 «Weesen» leads directly to the Biäsche employment area. The site is intended to become an attractive business location for companies of regional and local importance through the provision of development areas that are ready for construction, marketable, and available. In addition to the actual road construction (access roads), the development of all utility lines, sewerage, water, and electricity must also be planned and coordinated.
