Opportunity description

As part of the roof renovation of the school buildings (BN 5-9), the existing roof covering will be removed by the timber construction contractor. The asbestos-contaminated sub-roof will be dismantled on site by a specialist contractor and is not part of this procurement; the contractor will take over the approved substrate after the corresponding inspection. This will be followed by the structural reinforcement measures on the roof and the construction of a load-bearing roof diaphragm. The new roof structure comprises insulation between the rafters, a new vapor-permeable sub-roof, counter-battens, and the repair or reconstruction of the cornices. For the gymnasium (BN 11), the scope of work is analogous but expanded: In addition to the removal of the roof covering and the asbestos-contaminated sub-roof (by others), reinforcement measures must be carried out on the roof, beam structure, and trusses. Both a roof diaphragm and a ceiling diaphragm will be constructed, supplemented by insulation, sub-roof, counter-battens, and cornices as in the school buildings. Product/brand/design or type designations are not used. Should such designations exceptionally be listed, equivalent alternatives are permitted. Equivalence must be demonstrated by the bidder.
