The subject of the procurement is the award of pipeline construction work on the gas and water infrastructure in the IWB supply area. Gas supply pipeline construction: Temporary gas installations To ensure the gas supply during the construction phase
Opportunity description
The subject of the procurement is the award of pipeline construction work on the gas and water infrastructure in the IWB supply area. Gas supply pipeline construction: Temporary gas installations To ensure the gas supply during the construction phase, temporary gas connections will be installed for individual projects. The main line of the temporary installation will be made of polyethylene pipes and fed from the existing gas network by means of tapping saddles. The existing service lines on public land will be connected from the main line by means of tapping saddles and polyethylene pipes. A ball valve must be provided on the outlet of the tapping saddle. The polyethylene pipes may be reused. Following agreement on a date or upon request by IWB, the temporary installation must be dismantled promptly and the hoses returned to IWB. Furthermore, Annex D21 «18.1.7 Construction of temporary service lines» must be observed. Gas supply pipeline construction Once all temporary gas connections (temporary installations) have been installed in advance for the affected properties, the supply pipeline to be replaced can be taken out of service using line-stopping equipment and under the supervision of IWB's installation management, disconnected from the gas network, and rendered gas-free. After disconnection, the section of pipeline on the network side must be properly sealed with a cap or plug. The new supply pipeline, together with the associated fittings, will then be laid. Before the newly laid supply pipeline is connected to the existing gas network, a pressure test must be conducted in accordance with SVGW Guideline G2. Following a successful pressure test and acceptance of the pipeline by IWB, the pipeline can be connected to the gas network using line-stopping equipment and placed into operation under the supervision of IWB's installation management. The service lines that are not to be rehabilitated must then be transferred from the temporary installation to the new supply pipeline. The work equipment—line-stopping equipment and mobile gas flare—will be provided by IWB. Connection fittings are required at the pipe ends for this purpose and must be installed by the successful tenderer. The components required for this purpose (see Annex C32) must be supplied and installed by the successful tenderer. Supplementary information and detailed requirements can be found in Annexes D1-D14 and form part of these specifications. Supplementary information and detailed requirements can be found in Annexes D15-D29 and form part of these specifications. Procedure: open.
